사용열량sayongyeollyangsayongyeollyangEnergy used (MJ)Cubic metres × average heat content. Since 2012, gas is charged on this energy amount.

기본요금gibonyogeumgibonyogeumBasic chargeA small fixed monthly charge, even if you use nothing.

What to check

Winter bills are often several times summer bills because heating runs on the same gas. Turning the boiler to 외출 (away) mode instead of off keeps pipes from freezing.
Moving in: call the gas company on the bill or the meter to book the gas connection; someone must be home.
Moving out: ask for a final reading and settlement up to your moving day.
