When you need it
- Exchanging your foreign driving licence for a Korean one — the licence office usually asks for the record from your birth year to today.
- Tax residency and days in Korea — for your home country’s tax office or for Korean tax questions.
- Visa, permanent residency and citizenship applications in Korea or elsewhere.
Get it online (free)
- Log in to Gov24 and search for 출입국에 관한 사실증명.
- Set the period (기간) you need — for a licence exchange, from your year of birth.
- Choose 온라인발급(본인출력) and print or save it.
At a counter (₩2,000)
Bring your passport or residence card to an immigration office or community service center. During the 2025 Gov24 outage, immigration offices issued it at the counter and waived the fee for a time.
